Impact sound insulation

Let’s talk flooring! When somebody is walking on the floor with high heels, moving or scraping chairs, or dropping objects, this sound is the impact noise.

To preserve serenity, comfort, and peace in all rooms, impact noise must be controlled to low levels by means of the right elastic material whose main function is to interrupt the spread of noise.

Acoustic floor underlayment help to structurally isolate the top layer of the floor from the rest of the components. This essentially 'short circuits' the sound, keeping it from passing through the completed assembly. These materials are used to generate a higher IIC (Impact Insulation Class) rating for a construction assembly.
