Concrete inertia bases are designed to add sufficient mass under the supported equipment to lower the gravity center of overall system and gain higher stability. This additional solid mass support it will stabilize and counteract the forces, moreover the amplitude of vibration will be decreased.  Typically used with steel spring or elastomeric pads vibration isolators for support and isolation of Chillers, Pumps, Generators, Compressors, Centrifugal Fans, Air Handling Units, and Evaporative Condensers etc.
